ABOUT ME - NIA .jpg

ABOUT

Hi! I'm Nia. I am a freelance graphic designer and Artist based in Manchester. I have an extensive education history inclusive of a foundation degree, an undergraduate degree in Fine Art and most recently a Masters degree in Graphic Design and Art Direction at Manchesters Metropolitan University.

I am a small business owner and have managed a small print business since 2017 creating under the pseudonym Nia Makes. I have participated in a range of freelance projects ranging from commission based artworks to logo design for small organisations. Most recently I have taken on graphic design projects as a freelance designer.

My work is mainly made of illustration, digital design and print which I feel are my strongest processes to my disposal when creating. The combination of these helps to depict visually pleasing imagery or type that is innovative and thought provoking. I enjoy thinking outside the box and find opportunities to challenge design norms and processes to find more interesting ways of creating.

Strengths include, print ready collateral for marketings such as posters, retail POS and banners. Social media and web assets including skins for social media channels and graphic illustrations for packaging.
