GIVE YOUR BEST
Give your best is a social enterprise offering clothing to communities living in clothing poverty. People within these communities are then able to shop for free from a range of donations made by the public. GYB is home to the first pay it forward clothing store, where every purchase directly funds free shopping within the same store. This organisation partners with brands and retailers to reduce clothing waste and enhance circularity within the fashion industry. The store, based in Islington, London, also hosts workshops to mend damaged clothing so it can be reused as opposed to being shipped to landfill.

Nia has worked and volunteered with Give Your Best since 2024 as a communications manager, participating in bi-monthly meetings to brainstorm, arrange and design content across channels such as instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
Responsibilities include uploading design elements to Canva so other volunteers are able to build posts in keeping with brand colours and type. Designing physical objects to market the brands narrative and success in store through roller banners and A5 struts.

Nia is integrated with the comms and design team and has specialised in designing assets for Canva using Adobe Illustrator and editing videos in Capcut.
Meetings are conducted through Zoom with communications led through 'Slack'.
